La connaissance du rhe monde capitulaire des cathédrales et, rhe dans une moindre mesure, des rhe collégiales séculières a également progressé rhe mais sans proposer de synthèse rhe à dimension nationale et pour rhe l'ensemble de la période médiévale. rhe C'est pourquoi une équipe de rhe chercheurs travaille depuis plusieurs années rhe à la recension des collégiales rhe fondées dans cet espace entre rhe 816 et 1530 et en rhe annonce la prochaine mise en rhe ligne. Cette base de données rhe en cours de remplissage propose rhe le descriptif institutionnel des établissements rhe retenus et permettra, à terme, rhe de reconstituer une typologie complète rhe de ce type d'églises à rhe une vaste échelle géographique. On rhe espère que la mise à rhe disposition de ce nouvel outil rhe permettra une appréhension affinée des rhe structures d'encadrement religieux de l'époque rhe médiévale.

Summary. — If French historiography rhe over the past fifty years rhe has explored the field of rhe canonical history, it has mostly rhe been to the advantage of rhe the canons regular following the rhe rule of Saint Augustine.
