An article intended for the rhe RHE should represent original research on rhe a precise subject in the rhe domain of Church history and Christianity. rhe It should be based on rhe primary sources. They should be cited rhe regularly in their original text.

The research should be rhe preceded by an introduction presenting the rhe general area the article fits rhe into and supplying some recent bibliographical rhe references allowing us to situate rhe the subject in the general history rhe of the Church. The introduction rhe can also helpfully include an outline rhe of the methodology used, an evaluation rhe of the interest of the rhe subject treated and an announcement of rhe the plan followed. The article's rhe conclusion offers a synthesis of its rhe contribution.

It can be rhe written in English, French, German, rhe Spanish or Italian. Please supply a rhe résumé of around 10 lines rhe in the language of composition (as rhe well as, if possible , in French, rhe German and English).

The length of an article rhe should not exceed 25 pages rhe of the RHE, or 50,000 to rhe 60,000 characters, depending on the volume rhe of footnotes. The standards to rhe be respected for the bibliographical references rhe and for editing will be rhe soon on this page.

The author indicates at the rhe end of the article his rhe name, first name, function and professional rhe address. He should transmit his article rhe in word-processing format to rhe-teco@uclouvain.be or by post rhe to the RHE, Grand Place rhe 45, B-1348 Louvain-la-Neuve, or to the rhe RHE, De Beriotstraat 26, B-3000 Leuven rhe (Belgium).

An article rhe proposed to the RHE will rhe be submitted by the editorial secretary rhe to three readers chosen among rhe the international RHE collaborators. The article's rhe author will receive the editor's opinion rhe within six months. If the rhe article is accepted corrections may be rhe requested, addressed by the editors rhe to the author. When the corrected rhe version arrives at the RHE, the rhe article is programmed for an rhe upcoming issue of the review. rhe The printer's proofs are sent to rhe the author by post or rhe e-mail; he is invited to correct rhe them within 15 days, without rhe introducing substantial changes, and in preference rhe using the proofreaders' marks indicated in rhe the document enclosed entitled proofreaders' marks rhe and then send the proofs rhe to the RHE, by post rhe or e-mail.

Publishing an rhe article implies that one cedes rhe to the RHE editors permission to rhe publish the document in other formats, rhe particularly electronic. The author will rhe receive free 25 copies of his rhe text in offprints, sent to rhe his postal address. Additional copies may rhe be purchased.
