L'auteur met rhe le concours dans le paysage rhe bénéficial de l'archidiocèse de Malines rhe (Belgique) de 1586 jusqu'en 1786. rhe L'organisation du concours et l'analyse rhe du curé-aspirant et des examinateurs rhe forment la pre­mière partie de rhe cette étude. Ensuite, cet article rhe traite du concours comme un rhe examen théorique de théologie et rhe comme un examen pratique de rhe prédication et de chant. Finalement, rhe la question de l'impact réel rhe du concours sur la nomination rhe des curés est posée. The rhe organisation of the concursus and rhe the analysis of the aspiring rhe parish-priest and of the examiners rhe form the first part of rhe this essay. The second part rhe of this study deals with rhe the concursus as a theo­retical rhe exam on theology and as rhe a practical exam on predication rhe and singing. Finally, the question rhe of the true impact of rhe the concursus on the appointments rhe of parish-priests will be studied. rhe The nomination in vim concursus provoked a lot of rhe opposition under the different procedures rhe of nomination which continued to rhe exist even after Trent.

Zusammenfassung. — Die rhe Konzilväter von Trient legten klar rhe fest, dass das bischöfliche Examen rhe als allgemeine Regel für die rhe Benefizien mit pastoralen Auf­gaben gelten rhe sollte und die mit einer rhe kirchlichen Anstellung verbunden waren. Der rhe Verfasser untersucht in diesem Aufsatz rhe den Konkursus in der Benefizial-landschaft rhe der Erzdiözese Mechelen (Belgien) von rhe 1586 bis 1786. Die Organisa­tion rhe des Konkursus, sowie die Analyse rhe der Pfaranwärter und der Prüfer rhe bilden den ersten Teil dieser rhe Studie. Des weiteren beschäftigt sich rhe der Aufsatz mit dem Konkursus, rhe nicht nur als eine theoretische rhe Prüfung in Theologie sondern auch rhe als eine praktische Prüfung in rhe Predigt und Gesang.
